We are a casa classroom, the first of its kind, rooted in organic, non-processed nutrition; optimal sleep practices; a holistic Montessori learning space and mindset of we are all one, staff and students. Our classroom is free from technology and unwanted energy fields such as Wi-Fi. We are part of the new earth.

You will experience both cultures, Canadian and Italian, sustainable health practices and prevention techniques, and the presence of the universe/divine/God; all the while expressions of music, art, nature, and Self are weaved throughout the classroom.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE ENGAGING IN

  • Guiding six (6) children in a spacious home-based Scandinavian styled classroom. With direct access to groomed forested garden and a secured outdoor classroom.
  • Facilitating the classroom to operate from creation and unity, where the children are present to everything is connect to one-another.
  • Sharing your experience to collaborate and develop the classroom environment and program.
  • Introducing and presenting new material to individual students.
  • Carefully observing and keeping daily records on each student’s individual progression, always being available to offer gentle guidance.
  • Supporting to keep student records organized.
  • Developing rapport with students and treat each child with respect.
  • Using a broad repertoire of teaching strategies that honour varied learning styles within the Montessori Philosophy. The strategies should effectively meet the developmental, cognitive, emotional, and social needs of children.
  • Professional communication with all staff and parents/caregivers.
  • Conducting parent-teacher interviews
  • Ensure that the building, materials, and playground are clean, safe, and maintained.

 

OUR WISHLIST

  • MACTE or AMI Certified
  • Min 1 year teaching experience needed
  • The ideal candidate speaks Italian, English (more languages the better)
  • Plays piano and/or guitar is an asset.
  • Enjoys being in nature is an asset
  • A background in either drama, music, visual arts, dance or children’s yoga is an asset
  • ECE Certified an asset
  • Forest School curriculum certified an asset
  • Infant/Child First Aid & CPR Certified
  • Criminal Reference/Vulnerable Sector Check Required + Bondable
  • Reliable/Punctual
